Update: The new Record Store in Gowanus is called Sector. Sector is a transplant from Vinegar Hill and offers quality music, designer art toys and collectible culture. They had their ‘soft’ opening this past weekend, so I guess that means they are open for business. We’ll be stopping by later this week to check it out.

It’s not surprising that a neighborhood with Bellhouse, Gowanus Grove, Littlefield, and Rock Shop would get a new store that deals with music… Last night on 3rd Ave between Carroll St. and 1st Ave we found that the Real Estate place had turned into a Record Store! Not like a place that sells music, but like an actually ‘record’ selling store. If you look just to the right you can see two turn-tables (but no microphone) for testing out LPs. We are not sure if this i a pop up store yet, but we will keep you posted.
